Autumn has arrived and there’s no better time to sort through your make-up bag, stock up old favourites and add a few new products to keep your look stylish as well as seasonal! As well as influences from the AW19 runways, there’s the festive season to think of so don’t be afraid to opt for a touch of sparkle guaranteed to make you shine over Christmas and New Year.

We’ve put together our top tips for beauty and skincare products that have caught our eye this autumn, all available from retailers at The Centre.

Face masks are a great way to give your skin a boost ahead of the winter weather and at The Centre you’ll find an array of masks to choose from, all of which complement different skin types. At M&S you can pick up a Body + Soul Pink Clay Mask for £3.50. Perfect for dry and sensitive skin pink clay helps to restore and replenish skin with moisture, draw out impurities to refine pores and brighten the complexion. (Image 1)

Beauty Update 1

If you’d rather opt for the ease of a sheet mask, why not enjoy pampering fit for a princess with a Disney Princess Beauty & The Beast Enchanted Rose Face Mask, £4, from Debenhams. The sheet mask contains rose water which is calming for the skin, leaving a healthy flawless glow. (Image 2)

While you’re in Debenhams, don’t forget to check out Clarins’ latest offerings – their Blush Prodige illuminating cheek colour adds an instant healthy looking glow with a wonderful luminosity for £27. (Image 3)

Bold brows are a must this season and at Primark you’ll find everything you need to enhance your brows – from brow define gels (£1) and pomades (£2.50) to pencils (£2) to add volume where necessary, no expertise needed! There’s even a handy sharpener on the lid so you’ll never be caught short. (Image 4)

Add some drama to your eyes with Primark’s range of eye liners. Their Eyeconic eyeliner pen, £1.50, is ideal for beginners – designed with a steady tip, it’ll make achieving a graphic, lash-hugging look as fuss free as possible. Pros will love Primark’s wider collection of liner styles, including tulip tip eyeliners, £2, fine tip eyeliners, £1.50, and jumbo eyeliners, £2, perfect for experimenting with different designs – why not rock a sixties inspired double line or dare to wear liner dots! Beauty Update 2

Neon has been a key look for a couple of seasons and for AW19 this includes your make-up palette. Whether you opt for a neon liner in playful pink or a smear of day-glo orange on your lids, be bold and fearless with colour! We love the NYX Professional Makeup Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette in Brights - a pro-level palette packed with 16 high-performance eyeshadows in a rainbow of colours, available from Boots, £16. Beauty Update 3

Matte red lips rocked the AW19 runways adding a touch of old school glamour to any ensemble. Whether they were teamed with minimal make-up or a retro cat eye, velvety lips in bold crimson and scarlet were a regular feature. At Superdrug, Revolution have just launched their new Halloween lip shades including two devilishly smooth matte liquid lips for £5 in Bewitched (a chic nude) and Horror – a rich, deep red tone that will stay on trend long after Halloween is over. (Image 7)

If you prefer a more natural lip colour why not opt for a dewy lip effect instead? Give your lips a hint of glossy colour with Gosh Lumi Lips Lip Gloss for £8.99 from Superdrug. It’s a lightweight formula so there’s no sticky residue and it delivers high shine in a range of colours including barely there nude, pale peach and molten bronze. (Image 8)

For a classic autumnal twist on a smoky eye, why not opt for smoky neutrals with rich chocolate, cool taupe, warm beige and burnt gold. The Sleek MakeUP i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette in Au Natural, £8.99 from Sally Beauty, combines all these tones with added extras including inky black and rich aubergine for a palette that will see you through autumn in style. Beauty Update 4

For festive sparkle Sally Beauty has a host of beauty buys to choose from. Our favourite is the Bodyography Glitter Pigment in Stratus for £13.99 – a soft pink eyeshadow which incorporates the saturation of a loose pigment, the cushion of a cream and the silkiness of a powder, all with a beautiful high glitter and pearl finish. The powder can be used wet or dry depending on your desired intensity and can even be used as a glitter overlay on top of any eye shadow. (Image 10)

If you want to add a glorious glow to your skin this party season, reach for Lush’s Shimmy Shimmy Bar, £7.50, to make nights out sparkle. Gently stroke the bar onto any area you want to highlight, allowing the bar to lightly melt on the skin - shea and cocoa butters leave your skin feeling soft and with a shimmering lustre. (Image 11)

We all need a little glitter in our lives and at Holland & Barrett you can pick up Beauty Kitchen 0% Plastic Eco-Glitter Balm for £9.50. This little pot of plastic-free glitter in a moisturising balm comes in environmentally-friendly plastic-free packaging and can be used as a highlighter, eye shadow, body glitter or even a lip balm as it’s aluminium free as well!
