customer service

The health and safety of our visitors and staff is our top priority and we are doing all that we can to ensure that The Centre is a safe place to visit.

Following advice issued by the Scottish Government that all non-essential stores should close as part of a third lockdown, The Centre Livingston is now in a period of partial closure.

We would like to remind shoppers that during our period of partial closure travel restrictions, social distancing measures as well as Scottish Government Guidelines regarding face coverings still apply during your visit to The Centre.

Travel restrictions

We ask all our visitors to comply with Stay Local Guidance and only visit us if you live in the local area.

Face Coverings

In line with Scottish Government Guidelines face coverings must be worn in The Centre and while you visit stores. We ask that all visitors observe this and follow our safety messaging regarding this. There are however exemptions, please visit http://bit.ly/PublicUseOfFaceCoverings for more information.

Social Distancing

Two-metre social distancing is in place throughout The Centre, as well as a one way system. We have floor stickers, digital signage, posters and audio announcements to remind shoppers of the measures in place and ask that everyone who visits follows our guidelines.

Some stores may also be operating their own social distancing measures - we ask that our visitors respect the measures in place in each store and look out for visual cues.

Cleaning Regimes

Deep cleaning regimes were introduced earlier this year in response to COVID-19, which were in addition to the daily cleaning regimes which were already in place. This includes focusing on touch point sanitation on door handles, lifts and toilets. The deep cleaning regimes at The Centre will continue during our period of partial closure.

Hand Sanitisation

Please remember that you can play your part in protecting our local community by washing your hands regularly when visiting us and making use of the hand sanitiser stations which are positioned throughout The Centre, with extra stations at the top and bottom of the escalators.

Queues

At The Centre our electronic footfall system allows us to monitor the number of customers in the mall throughout the day, in real time. This means that we can quickly implement a socially distanced queue at the entrances to regulate the number of visitors within the mall at any one time, ensuring that the total number in the mall never exceeds our maximum capacity.

Once inside, all stores within The Centre, Livingston have individual queuing areas which have been marked out with floor stickers. Each store will have their own guidelines on how many shoppers will be permitted at once.

We ask everyone visiting The Centre at this time for their patience and understanding - please rest assured that our retailers will be working very hard to serve customers safely and quickly, to ensure that visitors queue for the shortest possible time.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our local community for the kindness and support you have shown our staff and retailers at this challenging time.
