customer service

The health and safety of our visitors and staff is our top priority and we are doing all that we can to ensure that The Centre is a safe place to visit.

Following advice issued by the Scottish Government, West Lothian is moving from COVID Protection Level 2 to COVID Protection Level 1 on Saturday 5th June.

As travel restrictions were lifted on Monday 26th April, we’re delighted to welcome visitors to The Centre from both our local area as well as further afield.

Face Coverings

In line with Scottish Government Guidelines face coverings must be worn in The Centre and while you visit stores. We ask that all visitors observe this and follow our safety messaging regarding this. There are however exemptions, please visit http://bit.ly/PublicUseOfFaceCoverings for more information.

If you have forgotten your face covering, please visit our Customer Service Desk near New Look, where one of our team can provide you with a disposable face covering free of charge.

Free Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Lanyards are also available for customers to collect from our Customer Service Desk. The Sunflower Lanyard is a practical way for people to indicate that they have a hidden disability, that they are medically exempt from wearing a face covering while in centre, or that they may require additional assistance during their visit.

Social Distancing

Two-metre social distancing is in place throughout The Centre, as well as a one way system. We have floor stickers, digital signage, posters and audio announcements to remind shoppers of the measures in place and ask that everyone who visits follows our guidelines.

Some stores may also be operating their own social distancing measures - we ask that our visitors respect the measures in place in each store and look out for visual cues.

Cleaning Regimes

Deep cleaning regimes were introduced in response to COVID-19, which were in addition to the daily cleaning regimes which were already in place. This includes focusing on touch point sanitation on door handles, lifts and toilets. The deep cleaning regimes at The Centre will continue while West Lothian is at COVID Protection Level 1.

Hand Sanitisation

Please remember that you can play your part in protecting our local community by washing your hands regularly when visiting us and making use of the hand sanitiser stations which are positioned throughout The Centre, with extra stations at the top and bottom of the escalators.

At The Centre our electronic footfall system allows us to monitor the number of customers in the mall throughout the day, in real time. This means that we can quickly implement a socially distanced queue at the entrances to regulate the number of visitors within the mall at any one time, ensuring that the total number in the mall never exceeds our maximum capacity.

Once inside, all stores within The Centre, Livingston have individual queuing areas which have been marked out with floor stickers. Each store will have their own guidelines on how many shoppers will be permitted at once.

We ask everyone visiting The Centre at this time for their patience and understanding - please rest assured that our retailers will be working very hard to serve customers safely and quickly, to ensure that visitors queue for the shortest possible time.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our community for the kindness and support you have shown our staff and retailers.
